Large Item Shipping
All States: $50 Large Items Flat Rate
Items with a carton or box size larger than 1.2m in length will be subject to the large items shipping flat rate. These items are usually long pendant lights, bar lights and LED Strip Channeling. Note: Most ceiling fans when constructed are over 1.2 in length, however are in a deconstructed state during shipping, and therefore avoid this charge.
Shipping Terms
Free Freight for orders only applies to orders placed on the website. If you contact our shop, by visiting or calling, and then you order over the phone then free freight does not apply. This is due to the fact that you have engaged our staff and their time, effort and advice has been used to arrange the sale. An online order with Free shipping is a pick and pack process carried out in the warehouse with no contact.
Certain products on our website are flagged as not to be shipped, they are click and collect only. This is due to the fact that the item is so large or heavy that the freight cost is too high, or we have determined that the item has a high risk of breakage during shipping.
Table lamps are not available for shipping from our website due to our years of experience with transport company’s mis-handling boxes. Shades and table lamp bases are easily damaged and destroyed.
DL&F will endeavour to ship the goods within the time frame indicated at the time of purchase. Once the goods have been collected by the courier or freight company, we cannot be held responsible for freight delays. Any delays occurred with the freight company are out of our control and does not entitle cancellation of the order.
DL&F will be unaware that freight has been held up once it has left our store. If the goods have not arrived in a reasonable amount of time, call the store with your order confirmation so we can investigate the delay in delivery and track your shipment.
Orders are shipped on business days only; no orders will leave the store on Saturdays or Sundays (or Public Holidays).
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide the correct address for delivery, PO Boxes cannot be used. Any special instructions required when delivery is made must be listed on the order confirmation under special instructions. If delivery cannot be made due to a lack of recipients, the courier will organise a re-delivery at an added cost.
Most Freight companies now require us to agree to the goods being left unattended at the front door if nobody is home. If this is not suitable, please call the store as shipping of the goods may be problematic. (If the goods cannot be left un-attended and nobody is home at the time of delivery DL&F are charged delivery penalties for a second delivery.
Refunding and Shipping Costs:
DL&F will deduct the costs of shipping and freight insurance from your refund for the goods. The specific amount to be deducted will be calculated and provided once the refund is approved, and the goods are returned to us in satisfactory condition, in accordance with our refund policy.
